Down the sandy isle

“From lands afar, their paths did weave, To Bali's shores, where hearts believe.

On Bali's beach, where palm trees sway, We met where sun meets end of day.”

Dear readers, brace yourselves for a tale that unfolds amidst the opulent backdrop of Singapore and reaches its crescendo on the picturesque shores of Bali—a tale that proves love knows no bounds of nationality or background. This is the story of Angeline, an Indonesian lady of a gentle spirit, and Tuomas, a dashing gentleman from the tranquil landscapes of Finland, whose reserved demeanor masked a heart full of passion.

It was amidst the bustling Clarke Quay that fate led Angeline to encounter Tuomas, a stoic yet charming gentleman whose Nordic demeanor belied a passion for adventure and a heart yearning for connection.

Tuomas, with his piercing blue eyes that mirrored the crisp Finnish lakes, found himself captivated by Angeline's warmth. Their initial meeting, amidst the cosmopolitan glamour of Singapore’s social gatherings, sparked a courtship that bloomed like the orchids in the Botanic Gardens.

In the paradise island of Bali, the day began with a soft whisper of anticipation. Makeup done, Angeline commenced her boudoir photography session prior to the bridesmaids gathering. The procession resumed to a handsome ceremony, where the altar was placed at the end of the sandy isle.

Enticing fire dance for their wedding reception.

So, dear readers, let us raise our glasses to Tuomas and Angeline—two souls who found their happily ever after amidst the hustle and bustle of Singapore and the serenity of Bali's shores. May their love story continue to inspire and illuminate the pages of our own romantic adventures, proving that true love knows no boundaries and that destiny delights in weaving together the most extraordinary of tales.

This is a gallery of Hans and Febby’s wedding day. On their special day, they were surrounded by their nearest and dearest. They shared their joy with the core family and closest friends.

Their wedding was postponed by the pandemic lockdowns, but with plenty of video calls and planning, ceremony and the party can finally occur!

The stationaries and printed medias were all designed by Hans the groom- who happens to be a fan of peanuts’ Snoopy.

Twins and Floral

I have had the opportunity to photograph Ayla and Leia’s parents for their pre-wedding. It has been an honour for me to continue to witness their expanding beautiful family: The adorable twins’ first birthday!

Beautiful chaos of smashed cakes.

Delicate floral curtains were prepared for their background by Agora Creation.

The twins were smashing away at the gorgeous pastel cakes specially prepared to be destroyed.

Blooming Motherhood

The dreamy maternity shoot that you deserve.

Her partner greeted me as she is finishing getting ready. On that sunny day, we created a series of delicate images for their soon-to-be first born.

Carmen was glowing that day-makeup aside, I can go out on a limb to say that it was indeed a glow from within. Perhaps it is true what people are saying: you glow different when youre filled with joy. (Or in this case filled with actual joy in the shape of human miracle)

Boudoir mixed in with casual session, sprinkled with gorgeous flower arrangement acting as a giant scarf (Rodate Inspired), please enjoy this blossoming motherhood in a gallery form.

A modern look with veil scarf: soft yet edgy by Asmara Bridal. Goddess in frame is Camille from Castaway Model Management.

Glowy makeup is by Luvita, Pearl Hair is by Rahayu. Styled by Miranda.

The look is a mixture of ballet-core and mermaid-core aesthetic wrapped with a bow with the additional of: gentle, billowing tulle-acting as scarf veil. The tulle is an element adapted from Bridal look but together we made it our own version.

An Intimate Wedding at The Edge Bali

Years of documenting wedding, Jen and Winston took me back to the roots and my core ‘why’ I am in this field; to be present for two united souls and proud of their union. Fancy tinkets and fluff of details are not necessities, instead they got what matters most, each other.

Genuinely (derived from Jen+Win), a celebration of love with Bali Cliff view in Uluwatu.

They have been in a relationship for a few years, healing with each other, building solid connection. They also co-founded Naughty Goat, a gorgeus coffee artisan shop in Bali.

The bride did her own make-up, not only that she also took care of her sister’s (maid of honour) makeup and hair.

Jen opt for a white dress piece from SukkhaCitta-an ethically handcraft brand, as her wedding dress.

An adorable, wholesome first look after they got ready separately.

Greeting their guests before the ceremony.

Cute wiggles before the grand entrance with the father of the bride.

Familial embrace in the intimate ceremony.

Decoration and table setup from The Edge.

Reception of 20 guests, accompanied with accoustic guitar musician duo. It was a dinner filled with so much loud laughters, hilarious intimate speeches- amongst their nearest and dearest.

Happy tears were shed, countless hugs and amazing food, even free-flow beers were involved.

Cheesecake made by the bride herself and the event wrapped with everyone leaving with joy anddd little bit tipsy (worry not they do not need to drive as they stay over at the property).

Thanks for feeding your photographer well that night, lovebirds.

Breath-taking Sumba Amorous Escape

Among many places that I have visited, Sumba really is one of my favourite place on this planet earth. To be able to capture Sumba’s beauty in photos for two lovely souls? Now that is even better.

This is a curated gallery of Edwin and Jessica, an amorous escape as they flew over from Jakarta to Waingapu.

The swift embrace of cold, cold morning.

Constantly in awe of the golden sun, the cold morning breeze, the vastness of everything. Reminding me how small we are in the grand scheme of the universe. I may be a tad dramatic but when my mind wanders on destination, I crave to return to Sumba for more couple sessions!

We had an impromptu stop and manage to shoot at a sheep farm.

The legendary Walakiri Beach, East Sumba.

Lakeside Picnic and Forest Fairy Tale Prewedding

These two met during pandemic period and their relationship blossomed as these florals decorated beautifully on their lakeside picnic boat.

Chris proposed to Vega during New Year’s eve celebration surrounded by close family and friends. They embarked to Bali for their fairy-tale inspired prewedding session starting early at Danau Tamblingan.

After discussing style and concept long-distance style : Bali-Jakarta, we found a great floral stylist: LadouxFlorist who beautifully styled the boat(s) to this Bridgertonesque vibe. The florist started decorating before the break of dawn when it was still dark, hours away from the city.

Enjoy this curated gallery of moments from the lake to the forest, beach, waterfall. Chris and Vega aesthetic adventures in Bali.

Afterwards we moved on to the beach. This is where we were greeted with soft waves and majestic caverns.

As we moved on to the next day heading to the waterfall, we stumbled upon a gorgeous vastness of marigold field. For obvious reasons of course we parked and jumped at the chance to be surrounded by this sea of marigold.

Having satisfied with the brief stop, finally we were greeted by the magical waterfall of Tukad Cepung.

Requiring some relatively minimal trekking, its rather a scenic route emerging from cavern system- leading up towards the waterfall itself.
